Army Emergency Relief
COMMUNITY UPDATE: AER READY TO ASSIST SOLDIERS DURING GOVERNMENT LAPSE
AER will provide rapid, zero-interest loans to help cover financial
needs until normal operations and back pay resume. Assistance is
available up to one net paycheck (maximum $6,000), with repayment
beginning once pay is restored. If you or someone you know may be
affected, please share this information. Together, we can make sure
Soldiers and their families know where to turn for help.
Army Emergency Relief is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that provides loans and
grants to active duty Soldiers, retired Soldiers, Army Reserve, and
National Guard members on Title 10 orders (30 days or more), and their
eligible dependents. Assistance covers urgent needs such as emergency
travel, housing costs, utilities, and medical co-pays not covered by
TRICARE, vehicle repair, childcare, and funeral expenses. Support is
available quickly, often within 48 hours, and no prior contributions
are required to apply.
